Cicilline Statement on House Vote on Impeachment Procedures

Oct 31, 2019

WASHINGTON – Democratic Policy and Communications Committee (DPCC) Chair David N. Cicilline (RI-01) issued the following statement after today’s vote on impeachment procedures:

“Today’s vote sets the procedures for the next stage of our ongoing impeachment inquiry. The President abused his power and undermined our national security when he tried to shake down another country for help with his re-election campaign.”

“He got caught and he confessed. Those are the facts.”

“Now the American people will get to see and judge the facts for themselves. This is a good day for our democracy and for upholding the rule of law.”
