Rhode Island Congressman concludes three-country trip to thank American servicemembers, set to return to United States

DOHA – U.S. Congressman David N. Cicilline’s (RI-01) bipartisan delegation to the Middle East concluded earlier today after the Rhode Island Congressman and his colleagues spent Christmas Day meeting with servicemembers on deployment in Qatar. The Congressional delegation thanked the troops and served them Christmas breakfast and dinner.

“I’m thankful that we had the opportunity to spend the Christmas holiday with the troops,” said Cicilline. “This visit was an opportunity to thank these brave men and women for all they’ve given our country. I’m very grateful that so many members of both parties joined me in this effort.”

While in Qatar, Cicilline and his colleagues visited Al Udeid Air Base where they met with constituents on active duty, including Henry Camacho of Woonsocket.
