Following their participation in an unprecedented 26-hour sit‐in on the floor of the U.S. House of Representatives, Congressman David N. Cicilline (RI‐1) and Congressman Jim Langevin (RI‐2) are inviting members of the public to join them on Wednesday, June 29th, for a public sit‐in to reduce gun violence at the Providence Public Safety Complex at 3:00 PM.
In addition to discussing last week’s sit‐in, Cicilline and Langevin will outline ways Rhode Islanders can continue to push Republicans to take action on the No Fly, No Buy loophole and universal background checks – proposals that are supported by 85% and 90% of Americans, respectively.
