In coordination with the Volunteer Income Tax Assistance program (VITA), Congressman Cicilline’s office is offering a free tax preparation clinic to help constituents living in the 1st District meet this year’s federal income tax filing deadline of April 15, 2013.

• Open to all individuals whose income is under $52,000 per year

• For married filing joint, both spouses must be present

• Able to prepare and electronically file federal, RI and MA state income taxes

• IRS-certified volunteers can inform taxpayers about special tax credits for which they may qualify such as Earned Income Tax Credit, Child Tax Credit, and Credit for the Elderly or the Disabled

• There are a limited number of openings remaining, so call 729-5600 to make an appointment today.
