Cicilline Congratulates Rhode Islander on Winning Silver Medal

U.S. Congressman David N. Cicilline issued the following statement congratulating North Kingstown’s Elizabeth Beisel on winning an Olympic silver medal in the women’s 400-meter individual medley today:

“Like all Rhode Islanders, I was delighted to see that Elizabeth Beisel will be bringing home a silver medal from this year’s Olympic Games.  After years of training for this moment, Elizabeth’s victory has given the world an example of the relentless work ethic that men and women across our state demonstrate every day.  I am proud of Elizabeth’s accomplishment today and, as always, proud to be a Rhode Islander.”
