Here to Help Small Businesses
My greatest priority is putting Rhode Islanders back to work and getting our economy moving again. Because small businesses form the backbone of Rhode Island’s economy, I’m fighting hard to ensure that our small businesses have access to the capital, resources, and assistance they need to succeed and thrive. As a member of the House Small Business Committee, and a strong supporter of the House Make It In America Agenda, I am working hard to get Rhode Island businesses the support they need to create jobs and better compete in the global economy.
For the past seventeen months, I have visited Main Street small businesses, toured manufacturing facilities and hosted town hall suppers throughout Rhode Island's First Congressional District to hear directly from small business owners and workers about the challenges they face. In this time, I have met with jewelry makers, boat builders, creators of cutting edge medical devices and aeronautical components, restaurant owners, small textile retailers, and information technology start-ups. They have all shared their ideas on how we can help small businesses survive, prosper, and grow during these challenging economic times.
In an effort to hear from as many members of the business community as possible, I have created this web page dedicated to receiving feedback, thoughts, and concerns from small business owners in Rhode Island’s First Congressional District. Please share your ideas, concerns, and questions with me by filling out the form below. I want to hear about regulations you consider burdensome, suggestions on how to improve existing government programs for small businesses, and any way you feel the federal government can better support our small business owners and help you sustain and create jobs.
I look forward to hearing from you. You can submit your feedback here.
